Tempeh

I like to have a lot of variety in my diet and make a veggie meal a few times a week. My go-to was often tofu. I now like to change it up and have added tempeh to my diet. It is a great source of protein, calcium, and iron. Low in carbs and sodium too. To remove the bitterness of tempeh, I recommend boiling it before you cook it. It can then be baked, grilled, stir-fried, and more.

 I love it cold too, added to my salads.

Who needs a new vegetarian protein-dense, low carb, and low sodium option for your meals?

Ingredients

  • 1 package tempeh
  • Marinades are endless
  • You can try, soy sauce, avocado oil, ginger, garlic

Instructions

  • Cut Tempeh in your shape of choice. I like small cubes
  • Boil in a pot of water and simmer for 10 minutes.
