My family loves when I change things up. We often make portobello mushroom burgers when we want a vegetarian meal. It is easy, quick, and the variations are numerous. I often grill vegetables on the side.

Mushroom Burgers

Cook Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4-8 portobello mushroom caps (2/burger)
  • Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar or soy sauce
  • Add some spice/herbs. I like tarragon and sesame seeds
  • Cheese slices of your choice (mozzarella, havarti, or swiss)

Instructions

  • Grill/BBQ mushroom caps for approx.10 minutes (flip halfway)
  • Add two cheese slices in between two mushroom caps, like a burger
  • Enjoy as is or add a bun of your choice.
