These are a much healthier and delicious copycat of Reeseā€™s Peanut Butter Cups. You will feel completely satisfied after eating this dessert without the guilt and bloat from traditional desserts. Made with only 4 ingredients and no oven baking required. They are vegan, gluten and refined sugar-free.

This dessert will become a favorite among both kids and adults. The recipe is so simple to follow. All you need is peanut butter, maple syrup, oat flour, and chocolate. In this recipe, we used the microwave so my kids could easily make it. However, if you prefer, the stove works well too. This recipe required only 15 minutes of active time and then let the fridge do the rest of the work.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Ingredients

For the peanut butter base

  • 1 1/2 cups natural smooth peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup can also use honey or agave
  • 1 1/2 cups oat flour almond flour also works

For the chocolate topping

  • 1 1/2 cups semi or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup natural smooth peanut butter

Instructions

  • Line a 9x9" square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, please the 1 1/2 cups peanut butter and maple syrup and microwave for 30-60 seconds until combined and smooth. Add oat flour and still until well combines. The mixture will be thick. Transfer into the prepared baking pan and press evenly into the pan.
  • To make the chocolate topping, melt the chocolate chips and remaining peanut butter in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Spread over peanut butter layer.
  • Chill in the refrigerator until completely firm, about 2-3 hours. Allow to sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve cold.

Notes

Storage: Store chocolate peanut butter squares in an airtight container in the fridge. They will last 7 days in the fridge.
