Teriyaki Sauce
- ⅓ cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2-3 tbsp water, as needed
- 2 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp cornstarch
In a mixing bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, and soy sauce. Form into 1" meatballs.
In a small bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, leave to the side.
Preheat a large skillet to medium heat with oil. Add ground meat meatballs to cook until browned and cooked throughout, rotating often. To know if they are cooked, cut open the largest meatball to make sure it is no longer pink.
When done, pour in teriyaki sauce to cook until sticky and thickened, about 2-3 minutes, tossing meatballs frequently.
