The power of being able to let things go is instrumental to our well-being and happiness. It is definitely not easy and it is an important concept that has helped significantly in my recovery. We all have to give up different aspects of our lives and for me, a lot of that resulted in unprocessed grief. Looking back if I had the skills of “letting go” and” just being” it would have saved me from my depression. Although my journey is a painful one for myself and my family, we are thankful to where it has brought me today. Letting things go probably sounds counter-intuitive, especially for aspirations and achievement. However, it is crucial in bringing us clarity to generate gratitude and guide us towards positive change. Letting go of comparisons and judgment will allow for acceptance in yourself. Being able to accept who you are will aid in bringing you happiness. The power of letting go has helped with my passions, goals, compassion, empathy, and overall energy. I ask that you aspire to let go of plans, thoughts, dreams, and expectations. Let’s conserve our energy and strive to flow with life the best that we can.
