One Bowl Tahini Banana Bread is gluten-free, high in protein, and sweetened naturally with maple syrup. This recipe is both simple and quick to prepare. Enjoy this moist, delicious, and nutty-tasting recipe with breakfast or as a snack.
What is tahini? Tahini is a smooth paste made from hulled toasted and ground sesame seeds. Tahini is relatively low in calories but high in fibre, protein, and many vitamins and minerals. In particular, copper and selenium. Copper is a trace mineral that is essential for iron absorption and selenium helps to decrease inflammation and promotes a strong immune system.
Now that I have sold you on the nutritional benefits of tahini, you will also enjoy preparing this recipe in one bowl and in only 5 minutes. It can easily be made vegan with the use of dairy-free chocolate chips. Feel free to swap the chocolate chips for frozen blueberries or cacao nibs. If you want to make this recipe with all-purpose flour, use 2 cups. You can also try it with 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour to increase the fibre content. Lastly, tahini can also be substituted with any nut or seed butter.
